NOTE:
Values
in this table were calculated
considering a 0.5kPa wind loading
applied to the panel
and gravity
loads imposed on the prop in
compression due
to a 5 degree inclination angle to the vertical.
It includes a factor of safety of 1.5.
Factors for earthquake loadings producing lateral accelerations of
> 1/3G may be calculated using the following formula:
Earthquake Prop Spacing
= (Prop Spacing from table) ÷ (C × 6).
Where C = Earthquake coefficient from NZS 4203:1992.
A similar equation can be used for higher
wind pressures than 0.5kPa.
High Wind Prop Spacing = (Prop Spacing from table x
0.5kPa) ÷ (Local Wind Pressure (kPa))
